Karachi was hit with a second round of monsoon rains on Sunday making the conditions comfortable in this port town the heavy rains in several regions interrupted the flow of humid and hot weather.
Moderate to light downpours were recorded within Gulistan-e-Jauhar, Scheme 33, Malir, Quaidabad, Bin Qasim, Korangi, Landhi, Clifton, Defence, I.I. Chundrigar Road, MT Khan Road, Keemari, and Gulshan-e-Iqbal and other areas in the city.
In the past day, earlier, the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) stated that due to the monsoon system severe rains and thunderstorms are expected to hit Karachi, Hyderabad, Thatta, Badin, and areas of Balochistan this evening and into the next day.
The Met Office forecast that the sea conditions will be difficult for the next couple of days. The Met Office advised the fishermen from Balochistan as well as Sindh to stay clear of the ocean until the next day.
