General Qamar Javed Bajwa, Chief of Army Staff (COAS), and Commander United States (US CENTCOM) General Michael Erik Kurilla spoke by telephonic on Friday, according to an Inter-Services Public Relations statement (ISPR).
The statement stated that the call covered matters such as mutual interests, regional stability, defense, and security cooperation, as well as issues of defense and security.
According to the army chief, Pakistan is proud of its relationship with the USA. He said, "We are looking forward to strengthening mutually beneficial multi-domain relationships based on shared interests."
Both military leaders reiterated their desire to enhance bilateral relations in every field.
Commander US CENTCOM recognized the professionalism of Pakistani armed forces. He acknowledged Pakistan's contribution to regional stability and promised to continue his efforts for improved cooperation at all levels with Pakistan.
