Due to the decline in prices of oil in the international market, the government has made a decision to transfer the benefit of lower prices of petroleum products to customers in Pakistan and is expected to reduce the price of gasoline by Rs10 or diesel to Rs25 per liter sources from the Petroleum Division said.
The day before prime minister Shahbaz Sharif sought a summary from the Ministries of Finance and Petroleum suggesting a reduction in the cost of petroleum products following the price of oil fell on the international market.
On Twitter, PM Shahbaz declared, "I have ordered Ministries of Petroleum & Finance to transfer the decrease in prices of POL products on the world market to the people. The people have been facing economic hardships and this relief they deserve is theirs. Through God's blessings, we'll keep bringing peace to their lives. IA."
